Tonya L. Guldenpfennig, a Virginia native began her dance training at age two under the direction of Ray Hollingsworth,
creator of Dance Troupe, Inc. Miss Tonya has studied with such masters as Gregory Hines, Debbie Dee, Bob Rizzo, Gregg Russell, and Charles Kelly
to name a few. In addition, to teaching technique classes in studio settings, she has choreographed for numerous High School drama and community
theater musicals in Virginia, North Carolina and Florida and has had many students go on to pursue professional dance careers, appear in music videos, on film and become teachers themselves!
Miss Tonya has been honored on both Regional and National levels for her Award Winning Choreography as well as being recognized and commended
for her care and concern to details of costuming, music selection and choreography that is geared appropriately to the age of dancers.
In addition to her many awards for her dancers’ technical expertise, she has been recognized by many different competition judges for instilling
outstanding dance etiquette in her students. Miss Tonya has coached several different competitive Dance Teams, directing them to numerous
National Championships.
Kathy Tolan was born in Washington, D.C. and started dancing as soon as she could walk.
She danced throughout her elementary, secondary and college years, but chose to pursue Physical Education as a career.
She moved to Florida and continued dancing, taking classes at local studios and with Master teachers on tour while teaching PE at Oldsmar.
In 1984 she began teaching dance full time. She has worked with all levels of students not only in studios but also on site at local
pre-schools and elementary schools teaching dance as enrichment to their academic curriculum. Her students and choreography have been
recognized both regionally and nationally at competitions, receiving high overall awards for all facets of their performances. She has trained
many children who have grown up to perform professionally or followed her footsteps into teaching. She strives to be a teacher who makes a
difference in a child’s life.
